After (unsuccessfully) trying to call for a cab from my client office in PJ (petaling jaya) from almost all taxi operators I know for an hour, a collegue smiles and whisper to me “Erm, you have to bribe them”.
“Huh? How do you bribe a call operator over the phone?”
“Tell them meter + 5”
Just got a new version of 神雕侠侣. Guess who is the 小龙女? None other than 刘亦菲 from 仙剑奇侠传 (see here). Even my wife say she has the “xiao long nu” look :-)
Oh yea, they film this show at JiuZhaiGou, a very beautiful place in China which you should go to take a look if you have a chance.
Hope I find the time to watch this with my current schedule…48 esposides is going to take a bit of time :P
Looks like I wont be able to go back Singapore this weekend. Too many things to do here in KL and too little time before the deadline.
I also have to apologises to the MDA folks for missing the very first Community Advisory Committee (CAC). CAC is a new advisory committee “review effectiveness of MDA’s media literacy outreach programmes and recommending strategies for effective engagement of the community” among other things. It was formed on 1st April and we have our first meeting today chair’ed by Michael Yap. Anyway, thats for full disclosural.
A few friends also IM’ed me asking what I am doing these days. Well, I am under NDA so sorry, no full disclosural there :P But soon..when it is done, maybe I can discuss it.
I am a match making service today. Setting up meeting with A with C, then C with T, and then A with L and all 3 of them happening today. So the whole morning was spent making phone calls and SMSes to make sure everyone got their appointments down, then follow up to see if the meeting went alright.
I do enjoy connecting friends but all happening in a single day is just a little too much work. Anyway, all of them managed to hook up successfully and hopefully they will go on to do their million dollar deals. :-) (no serious..all of them manages >50m usd funds..one of them is handling 4b usd O_O)
Spend the rest of the day travelling and just checked into my hotel in KL. The company that engages me put me up in an hotel apartment with a checkout date “30th June 2006”. Think they want me here for a while ^_^;;
No kidding…I still want to go home this Sat :P
